MEASURE O PROJECT UPDATES
MEASURE O PROJECT UPDATES
Making needed improvements to existing schools through modernization, technology upgrades, renovation and classroom replacement is key to successfully utilizing Measure O funds. The bulk of RUSD schools were constructed nearly 50 years ago with some of the oldest structures being more than 100 years old. Measure O includes five bond issuances - the first in 2017 and the second in late 2019; future bond issuances are expected about every two to three years. When Measure O was approved in 2016, improvements at 46 schools were categorized into Groups A through H and an Expanded School Projects group to plan for phased implementation – site acquisition/due diligence, planning, and construction.
