Jefferson Elementary School was built in 1948 and is located at 4285 Jefferson Street, As part of Measure O, Jefferson Elementary School received the following upgrades:

• Construction of a new one-story six (6) classroom kindergarten building and corresponding new playground area, including restrooms accessible from both the classrooms and playground area 

• Modernization of existing buildings M and N, including sinks, cabinetry, PA system, roofing, HVAC, windows, lighting fixtures, and upgraded restroom facilities

• Minor campus-wide modernization on all remaining buildings, including roofing, PA system, lighting fixtures, handrails, ramps, HVAC, and fire alarm upgrades  

• Dismantling and removal of six (6) portables, and relocation of three (3) existing portables

• Drinking fountain replacement

• New site utilities including drainage improvements and new underground gas lines throughout the site

•  Modernization of all existing restrooms to current ADA accessibility standards
