Andrew Jackson Elementary School was built in 1959. The site is located at 4585 Jackson Street, Riverside, CA. Under Measure O, Andrew Jackson Elementary School Project received the following upgrades:

• New 2-story building with eight (8) regular education classrooms, staff and student restrooms, custodial room, and support spaces

• Removal of eight (8) existing portable classrooms 

• New staff parking lot with thirty five (35) regular parking stalls, two (2 ) ADA accessible stalls, and bus drop off 

• Renovation of six (6) existing kindergarten classrooms, new kindergarten play area including new landscaping, shade trees, and playground equipment.  

• Remodel of Building H wing, including the conversion of three (3) standard classrooms to two (2) kindergarten classrooms with restrooms

• Modernization/renovation of existing classroom buildings and library including PA system, fire alarm, roofing, HVAC, exterior lighting, restroom facilities, and minor modernization to permanent modular buildings including PA system, fire alarm, exterior lighting, handrails, and ramps

• Site improvements including the replacement of damaged sewer lines, installation of underground infrastructure for the new building, accessibility upgrades, expanded upper-grade handball courts, replacement of campus fencing at the front of campus, and replacement portions of concrete walkways

• Drinking fountain replacement campus-wide

• Relocation and remodel of existing Head Start portable classroom including new interior restroom,  interior finishes, play equipment, landscape, and paving

• New lunch shade structure
