MEASURE O CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
Arlington High school was built in 1973 on a 47 acres site. The site currently has 21 portable classroom buildings. Under Measure O, the project will receive a new six classroom building, upgrades to media arts, courtyard & site enhancements, curb appeal, moderate modernization, renovation of existing pool, new auxiliary gym, and stadium expansion.
Existing building J will be remodeled and will consist of Graphic Arts, broadcast booth, sound booth, and 3 English classrooms. New ceilings, lighting, utilities, walls and flooring.
The new building Q will Have 3 new science rooms and a science prep room. As well as 3 special education classrooms and life skills room
New building R will be an auxiliary gym used for practice, assemblies and flex space as needed.
The admin area will be upgraded with new concrete and exterior building renovations.
The stadium is being upgraded to host sporting events, and graduations. the home side bleachers will be expanded and a press box will be added.
Visitor bleachers will also be added to the stadium as well as upgraded sports lighting to meet CIF standards.Stadium area to receive a new ticket booth.
Existing pool to be remodeled to have the bottom the same depth across the entire pool. New pool deck will be installed as well as upgrades to the existing utilities serving the pool.
