Communication You will develop all modes and skills of language - listening, reading, speaking and writing - at the specified proficiency level. It’s all about communication, not perfection!
Culture There’s a lot going on out there in the world! Knowing more about the products, practices and perspectives from different Spanish-speaking cultures will help you to understand and connect with others. Also you will make Comparisons and reflect on your own culture.
Communities Spanish is being used all around us. Part of your out-of-class work (optional) will include getting into the community, and experiencing the language and culture in action. Also you will make Connections to the world, other content and careers.

Respect the environment (the classroom and our learning space and materials)
I will plan lessons that make Spanish comprehensible/understandable to you. I will speak slowly. I will use props, pictures, videoclips, gestures, and translation to help you understand.
Students will listen, take turns, participate, and try new things!
I don't assign homework. Occasionally, classwork not completed in class becomes homework. Students should expect to have enough class time to finish most classwork.
If you miss a quiz/test, you'll have a chance to take it in class when you return.
If you get lower than a B on a test, I'm open to retakes. Retakes can be done before or after school and as long as all formative assignments are completed.
