Hello Artists!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer vacation and are getting excited to begin school! I know I am eager to have art classes with you!
Where will we meet for art?
You will meet for your Essential Arts in the same platform as your classroom teacher (ie: if you are in a Google Classroom, you will receive your lessons via your Essential Arts Google Classroom, if you use Seesaw, you will have your lessons posted there).
When will we meet for art?
Samuel Morey Art lessons will be posted Thursday mornings between 8am - 8:30am.
Samuel Morey Zoom* meetings will be held on the following Tuesday. See your time below.
1st SME- 10:00-10:20
2nd SME- 10:30-10:50
3rd SME- 11:00-11:20
K SME- 11:30-11:50
6th SME- 1:00-1:20
4th SME- 1:30-1:50
5th SME- 2:00-2:20
*ALL Zoom times are optional! This is a time for students to share what they have made, ask clarifying questions and check in. Invites will be posted in the morning between 8:00am- 8:30am.
What Materials will I need for online art class?
I will try my best to provide lessons that incorporate materials you generally have around your home. I will not require special materials. If there comes a time when you may need specific supplies, I will let you know at least a week in advance. These materials may be something like, a toilet paper tube, a cardboard cereal or other snack-type box, etc.
You should at least plan to have paper (options: plain, computer, lined, etc.) and a writing utensil (pencil, pen, marker, crayon, etc) ready.
If there is a need for a material, please let me know and I will work with you.
What should you create?
Each week there will be a new lesson/activity posted in your Essential Arts Google Classroom or Seesaw Classroom. This lesson can be watched and created at your own pace on your designated Essential Arts day.
Are you expected to complete the lesson?
Yes! You should complete one lesson per week.
How do you share your work?
Share it in your Everyday Essentials Google Classrooms or Seesaw
Share it in the optional Zoom meeting time for your grade.
