PRE-SQUAD PROGRAM
PRE-SQUAD PROGRAM
The Pre-Squad program is designed to accommodate swimmers who are too skilled/advanced for the learn-to-swim curriculum but are new to the swim squad environment. Pre-Squad swimmers generally range in age from 7 - 9 years old (Grades 1 - 3), but these classes can accommodate swimmers of any age. Classes are held in the 50-meter Phoenix Pool two days per week.
All swimmers will be assessed before permission is given to join the Pre-Squad program. Swimmers who do not pass the assessment must return to the LTS program. This is a safety policy that must be adhered to.
Each season, Pre-Squad classes will be held on Mondays and Thursdays. On both days, swimmers will begin at 3:00 p.m. and finish at approximately 4:15 p.m.
The Pre-Squad swimmers complete their practices at the 50-meter Phoenix Pool. Lessons are technique and skill-focused, and plenty of resting periods will be given. This allows swimmers to transition from the learn-to-swim (LTS) program level to our Phoenix Swim Team.
Our Pre-Squad program is designed to improve swimmers' technique in the four competitive strokes, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. We also begin exposing swimmers to various racing and training skills, such as underwater streamlining, body positioning, race starts, and wall push-offs. This leads to a smoother transition for swimmers entering our Phoenix Swim Team.
Please note that we operate as a 'safety-first' program. Student safety is our main priority, and as such, all participants in our program are expected to follow policies and protocols to adhere to this at all times.
Monday & Thursday (3:00 to 4:15 p.m.) - 3,000 THB per swimmer
