Riyaz on
Light Setup
Let's embrace light
As they say, Photography is like painting with light. To use light effectively, we need to have some idea of light. Whether using a dedicated camera or our smartphone, the aim is to understand the effects of light.
We can say that light is the silent collaborator in every photograph. It shapes our perception, adds depth, and paints emotions onto the canvas of our images. In this blog, I’ll share my initial journey of exploring how light influences composition, mood, and storytelling.
In the riyaz, I tried to capture the subject in various lighting setups to test the effects of it on the same subject.

Subject is 2 ft away & 1 ft away from the camera and the background respectively
The experiments (rewaz) shows that the key is to understand the relationship between
the distance of the subject, camera and the falling light.
