One necessary component of a successful school counseling program is making sure the counselor is spending their time appropriately. 80% of the school counselor's time should be spent on direct services. This ensures students receive the support they need and that the counselor’s time is used in ways that directly impact student success

Advisory Council
Advisory Council
Ridgeview has an Advisory Council that is a small group of stakeholders who review and give advice on the school counseling program. This group meets twice a year, and keeps minutes and agendas from all meetings. The Advisory Council is important because it advises, reviews, makes recommendations, and advocates for the school counselor and the school counseling program.
