Introduction

Wisconsin Administrative Code PI-8.01(2)(h)1 states “Each school district board shall have on file a written, long-range plan for library services development which has been formulated by teachers, library and audiovisual personnel and administrators, and approved by the school district board.”  

This plan was drafted by District Library Media Specialists and reviewed by committee members stated below, based on the Future Ready School Framework and specifically the Future Ready Librarian framework, adopted as part of the State Superintendent's Wisconsin Digital Learning Plan.  The principles of the Future Ready Librarian framework are predicated on a core belief that all students have equitable access to qualified librarians, digital tools, resources, and books.
