District Library Media Program Vision Statement
The school library is a unique and essential part of a learning community. The school library is a third space for learning, a space between the classroom and home, important for on-site, personalized, and self-directed learning. Effective school libraries dynamically provide access and opportunity for all K-12 learners. Under the leadership of the school librarian, the school library provides learners with access to the resources and tools, connecting classroom learning to real-world events. To ensure for every learner’s well-rounded education, students will be provided with school libraries staffed with qualified professionals who create a library which is approachable, equitable, and a personalized learning environment.
