Understanding how to find and locate ebooks to read/listen to on Chromebooks.
Technology
Problem solving and critical thinking are integrated with discussions on online safety, digital citizenship, and coding lessons.
Test-taking strategies are reinforced in online test prep lessons for Forward Exam.
Students learn to locate information using online search skills and keyword searching.
Beanstack is introduced and used by students and LMS during library lessons to build reading engagement .
Literacy
Students learn to identify and locate different genres of literature.
Students learn to select appropriate literacy materials for personal and academic use.
Age appropriate authors are introduced to students at all levels.
Research (4th grade)
Research skills such as note-taking and summarizing, selection of sources, and crediting of sources are introduced.
Accessing of online resources, ebooks, and databases is demonstrated to and utilized by students .
Collaboration
Additional lessons or skills may be introduced or reinforced during library lessons to coincide with classroom learning.

Multiple reading formats are provided for students and staff to engage in reading through books, eBooks, audio, magazines, newspapers, and online services.
Research
Through a sequential learning progression of introducing, using, and mastering online databases, students can independently select authoritative and credible sources.
