STEM careers are the future! MESA is an elective course in Engineering and Computer Science where you work in academic teams, write engineering lab reports, and do presentations that integrate in mathematics, engineering, and science. You will do cool projects with engineering lab reports that you will compete in and out of our district against other high school MESA classes!
This elective course is offered as an interdisciplinary subject with a focus on Mathematics and Science. Students will use problem and project based learning models to study Engineering, Physics, and Mathematical concepts. Students compete throughout the year at county competitions. This course can be taken for repeat credit. Prerequisite for this course is a “C” or better in Math and Science courses and at least a 2.5 GPA. Also, helps if you have taken MESA in middle school but is not required.

Do you like to talk? A lot? Speech and Debate is the place for you! We are an academic team and our students compete in a variety of speaking events including Mock Trial, debate, performance poetry, persuasive speeches, and acting.
Speech and Debate is a survey course for students 9th grade and above and is designed to give a broad overview of the various events in the competitive speech and debate. This course can be taken for repeat credit.
