The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) has been in operation at every University of California campus since 1976. The objective of the program is to prepare educationally and/or economically disadvantaged students to become eligible for post-secondary education upon high school graduation. EAOP has successfully increased college preparedness by academically supporting and monitoring students in their educational pursuits and distributing pertinent information to participants and their families. The program works with high schools and community agencies to keep students and their families informed of the advantages of a college education and the requirements for admission.

TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) is an educational program funded by the U.S. Department of Education designed to help middle and high school students to continue to the next grade level, graduate from high school, and enroll in and complete a college education.
