Early Academic Outreach Program

The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) has been in operation at every University of California campus since 1976. The objective of the program is to prepare educationally and/or economically disadvantaged students to become eligible for post-secondary education upon high school graduation. EAOP has successfully increased college preparedness by academically supporting and monitoring students in their educational pursuits and distributing pertinent information to participants and their families. The program works with high schools and community agencies to keep students and their families informed of the advantages of a college education and the requirements for admission.  

Who is eligible to apply:

Open to 9th & 10th grade students with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Educational Talent Search

TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) is an educational program funded by the U.S. Department of Education designed to help middle and high school students to continue to the next grade level, graduate from high school, and enroll in and complete a college education. Their mission is to create a pathway for underrepresented students to pursue higher education by encouraging academic excellence, providing support and resources, and promoting college readiness in our schools and communities.

Who is eligible to apply:

Open to 9th & 10th grade students with a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Upward Bound Program

Upward Bound is a TRIO Program designed to help provide high school students with educational and personal support services that will increase high school graduation and college enrollment and persistent rates. 

Who is eligible to apply:

Open to 9th & 10th grade students with a minimum 3.0 GPA and 11th grade students with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Cal-Soap's goals are to increase the availability of information to students about the existence of post secondary education, the available sources of financial aid, and career opportunities improve students’ access to higher education by raising their achievement levels REDUCE the duplication of services by coordinating outreach efforts.

BLU EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
