The University of Waikato's Unistart programme lets you take actual university papers while still in high school, giving you a taste of tertiary study and earning credits towards your future degree.

Students who achieve an NCEA Level 2 Certificate or above with a Merit or Excellence endorsement may be eligible for a scholarship to cover the fees for their Unistart paper(s)! This is an incredible opportunity to jumpstart your academic career without the financial burden.

Unistart papers can be studied online or on campus, offering flexibility to fit with your school schedule. You will have a dedicated Wednesday session for study on your Unistart paper. If you're keen to challenge yourself and get ahead, Unistart is for you.
