Year 13 Course Selection

Before you select:

• Read through all the choices.

• Be aware, if necessary, of what subjects you may need for a particular pathway you are interested in, including the University Entrance requirements. 

When ready:

• Go to your KAMAR Portal --> Course Selection --> Read and follow the instructions at the top of the page. 

You will:

• Select  FIVE Mastery courses and three Alternates. 

• Select ONE Puna Wānanga.

Note: If you have NOT achieved your CAA Literacy and Numeracy you may need to select an EXLIT and/or EXNUM EXPLORE course to enable you to meet this requirement. Discuss with your Kaiarahi (Whānau teacher) to make sure this is the best option for you.

If you will be in Year 13 in 2026, but feel you would be best served by enrolling in a SPECIALIST or EXPLORE course or courses, select the relevant Mastery course(s) on the KAMAR web portal, but complete this separate form.
