Advanced Cabinet making students will make a project such as furniture, or recreational sporting equipment. The repetition of quality joinery and craftsmanship will be emphasized. Appropriate selection of lumber and layout will be discussed. Emphasis will be on craftsmanship and safe, appropriate use of hand tools and power tools. Problem solving skills will be studied considering design, construction sequences, tool set-up, craftsmanship and finish. OSHA regulations and procedures will be taught and followed by all members of the class.
