AP Cybersecurity is a broad introduction to the field and that offers students the opportunity to earn college credit and an employer-endorsed credential. Cybersecurity is a high-growth field offering well-paid, entry-level positions. Developed in partnership with college faculty and industry leaders, this yearlong course enables students to explore specific vulnerabilities, attacks, mitigations, and detection measures across a variety of domains. Students consider the impact of cybersecurity on individuals, organizations, societies, and governments aligns with the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education Workforce Framework. Skills learned are applied to authentic cybersecurity situations. Cybersecurity is a high-growth field offering well-paid, entry-level positions. After taking the course, students will be able to apply skills and concepts learned to a variety of related AP Cybersecurity will help meet this vital need by introducing students to foundational concepts and skills they can apply to cybersecurity roles and a range of related career paths. Students are expected to sit for the AP Exam to receive college credit.
