RHAM High School Project Lead The Way

Welcome to PLTW Engineering

In PLTW Engineering, students engage in open-ended problem solving, learn and apply the engineering design process, and use the same industry-leading technology and software as are used in the world’s top companies. Students are immersed in design as they investigate topics such as sustainability, forces, structures, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and the environment, which gives them an opportunity to learn about different engineering disciplines before beginning post-secondary education or careers.

We are excited to be offering several courses which should excite your student if they are interested in Engineering, or even if they think they aren't! Please click on each for more information on what each course will offer. This coming year, we are offering 2 of 4 Engineering courses plus an Architectural Design semester long course.

This year, we will be augmenting all of the courses with new curriculum in 3D printing and laser engraving, as well as introducing students to build concepts and other hand-held machinery and tools. This is the place to APPLY the concepts learned in Science and Math with hands on learning by solving real-world problems.

I look forward to working with your student - please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions/concerns.
