What is the ACT?
The ACT is a college admissions exam that measures skills in areas such as English, math, reading, and science. Many colleges and universities use ACT scores as part of the admissions and scholarship process.
Why is it important? Even if a college is test-optional, a strong ACT score may strengthen your application, help you qualify for merit-based scholarships, or be used for course placement. Always check the admission and scholarship requirements for each college you are considering, as ACT requirements vary by school.

What is the TSIA2?
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA2) is a college-readiness exam used by Texas public colleges and universities to determine whether students are ready for college-level coursework in English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) and Mathematics.
Why is it important? Meeting TSIA2 college-readiness standards can help students avoid developmental coursework and may be required before enrolling in certain college courses. TSIA2 is also commonly used for dual credit eligibility. Students may qualify for an exemption, so be sure to check with your college for specific requirements.
