This week                                            

• We finished our unit on Mexican independence.  We began our unit on Austin's Texas and The Texas Revolution. 

• We specifically talked about the reasons the Texas settlers would want to rebel against a government they once supported. The Empresarios were happy to settle the land but disputes over religion and slavery quickly soured things.
