Artist of the Week
Alma Thomas
is an African-American graphic artist who created graffiti street-style art that was political and based off of his experience as a black man as well as social status. He was born in December of 1960 in Brooklyn, NY.
Our focus for this week of art is studying the paintings and style of arts created by Wassily Kandinsky. Wassily Kandinsky was born in December 1866 in Moscow, Russia. As a child he loved music and learned to play the piano and the cello.
