Fingerprinting:

The Connecticut State Department of Education requires fingerprinting and a background check for all participants in an Educator Preparation Program.

If you have been fingerprinted by an agency, your school or your district there is no action required.

If you are a new hire in your district or school and have never been fingerprinted, please go to your Human Resources (HR) representative or school leader to inform them that you need to be fingerprinted for this academic school year because you are working with children. Ask your HR representative and or school leader to tell you where you need to go and provide you with any necessary forms, if applicable. Once you have been fingerprinted, please email proof (receipt, a copy of your fingerprinting form, or even an email) to Relay Connecticut's Director of Operations at support@relay.edu

Diagnostic Exams

Relay Connecticut requires proof of core academic knowledge. Applicants can show proof of core academic knowledge by uploading their score reports from either the Praxis 1, ACT, GRE, PAA or SAT.

There are no minimum passing requirements. Applicants with score reports from before 1998 must register for and take the Praxis 1 exam to show proof of their academic knowledge. Click HERE to register for the Praxis Core.
