The edTPA is a performance-based assessment administered by Pearson and is aligned to your academic program and certificate pathway (e.g., Elementary Education). Broadly speaking, edTPA assesses the following areas of a teacher’s abilities: instructional planning, lesson delivery, and implementing assessments & responding to data.

For the AY2019-2020, due to COVID-19, the CT State Department of Education has waived the EdTPA passing score.

Relay offers a variety of resources to support you in your completion of the edTPA, including coursework, workshops, and edTPA office hours. You will receive more information about the edTPA during your first year as a Relay student.
