Asylum Interview

If the family came through Catholic Charities or Kentucky Refugee Ministries (KRM), those organizations will help cover the cost of the Asylum Interview for the families.

• The Asylum Case Interview could last anywhere from 3 to 8 hours and will be held at 181 W Madison Street, Suite 3000, Chicago IL 60602. The results will be sent to the family by mail.

• Chicago is located in the Central Time Zone. All of the interview appointment times are for the Central Time Zone.

• The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chicago Downtown is within walking distance of where the interview will be held.

• Parking at the hotel can be relatively expensive. Check out the app, SpotHero, for better parking prices!

• If the family takes the Greyhound bus, the bus station is a 20 minute walk to the La Quinta Inn & Suites. Round-trip Greyhound bus tickets from Downtown Louisville to Chicago typically cost between $24.50 and $35 depending on departure time.
