1) Are prepared for class - bring your supplies when you go to class, pencils, notebooks, books, etc. Show your teachers you are ready to learn.
2) Use classtime to finish their work - they know they will have more time later to talk with their friends, so they use the time they have in class to get their work done.
3) Turn in work on time - It's easier to pass a class when you're turning in your work on time.
4) Participate in a meaningful way - It's easier to learn the material if you are actively engaged with the class discussion or practice.
5) Know when to ask for help - sometimes you just have to try again or think about the problem in a different way. But sometimes you need to ask a friend or teacher for help - or stay for Study Cafe!

Each quarter has three academic gates intended to help students learn and practice time management skills.
Unless otherwise noted by your teacher, you should have all your work turned in before the end of the gate.
