This small group is offered to grades K-2 and 3-5. We focus on teaching students social skills to establish, maintain, and restore relationships with others and resolve conflicts productively.
Greetings,
Below you will find an update on what your student learned in the Powered Up Relationships Group session this week. The session was an Introduction to the Group. During this introduction, the students:
Learned about the purpose of the Relationships Group and how they will be learning and growing together.
Connected through games and questions to get to know one another.
Established group norms with Community Agreements so every student feels safe and supported in the group.
Learned about the Relationship Process and how relationships with others can improve with effort and the use of skills.
In our next group session, we are going to learn about:
The importance of self-awareness and understanding others.
How to identify gaps in how we want to act toward others and how we are actually towards others (Find the Facts).
How to “Be A Detective” and search for clues such as facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice that tell us about what someone else might be thinking or feeling.
