RUSD Clinical Counseling Referral Process

The following district-wide referral process will allow RUSD to track referrals, services provided, and overall district-wide clinical counseling needs.

Submit referral via the Referral to Clinical Counseling Services Form

Once submitted, an RCSS clinician will review the referral and reach out to the student immediately. The RCSS team will then determine the most appropriate community service provider.

The following will be taken into consideration:

Level of need

Community partnership capacity / wait list

Referrer preference (please note on referral form if there is a preference)

Once a provider has been selected, the referrer will be sent the selected provider’s referral form (already filled out) along with the Release of Information form.

RUSD Release of Information form

Referrer will review the form for accuracy and send it to the student/caregiver for review and signature.

Once the form has been signed, send it back to the RCSS team.

RCSS will send the referral to the provider and will be in weekly communication with the provider regarding updates to services provided.
