AFJROTC's mission is to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship and life skills, promote community service, instill a sense of responsibility, and develop character, leadership and self-discipline through education and instruction in air and space fundamentals and the Air Force’s core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence In All We Do.

To partner with high schools and middle schools in the Redlands Unified School District to facilitate and train teams to raise and lower the flags at each school. Training these students will foster a sense of civic responsibility and patriotism while promoting discipline.
A requirement of 12 hours of community service per cadet, in doing so community service instills a sense of responsibility and goodwill in cadets while improving our community from within. Increased participation in community service fosters teamwork, leadership, and camaraderie among cadets, creating a cohesive unit with dedicated cadets.
Promoting excellence in all cadets by putting an emphasis on cadet academic success is a priority as academic success enhances cadets' overall development and future opportunities. Next, Developing aviation skills can open up exciting career opportunities and instill discipline and responsibility in cadets. .
