The AFJROTC curriculum focuses on aerospace-related academic instruction and leadership education training. The Senior Aerospace Science Instructor (SASI) and the Aerospace Science Instructor (ASI) are retired Air Force personnel with over 50 years of combined experience. Additionally, they possess extensive backgrounds in executive management, leadership positions, professional education, and Air Force flight training/maintenance and instructing.
The cadet group is managed and operated by the cadet commissioned and non-commissioned officers. It is through this management style that the cadets learn citizenship, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
The California CA-20005 Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) Operation Group - a Distinguished AFJROTC Unit (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009) was established at Redlands High School in the spring by agreement between the Redlands High School District and the United States Air Force.
