Redden Court is a holder of the national Quality in Careers Standard, as given by Prospects. The national Quality in Careers Standard is awarded to schools and education providers who can demonstrate the importance they place on careers and how they support students to make decisions about their life after school.
The Government also recommends that all schools should be required to work towards the national Quality in Careers Standard. Currently, only 1,100 schools are working towards or have achieved the national standard for careers. This, therefore, puts us well ahead of the curve and currently makes us the only school in Havering to have completed.

Redden Court therefore offers a very wide and comprehensive career education. We are committed to the governments Gatsby report findings and have implemented their findings to meet the 8 standards outlined in the report (a link to the report and our Careers Policy can be found below). We provide access for students to impartial and independent information about the range of education and training options that will help them achieve their ambitions. We, as a school, provide information and guidance in a variety of subjects and skills to allow our students to reach a career that suits them best. This also includes one-to-one guidance with a specialist Careers Adviser. Our careers education is overseen by one of our Assistant Headteachers and our staff also have regular training to ensure they are up-to-date on current market information and changes to both post-16 and post-18 options.
You can find our specific Careers Policy in the Policy section of the website. However, if you want to see our entire plan for Careers you can click on the link below. This will show you our Policy, Careers Map, Team Structures and Review Processes.
