About Us
RECIT Vocational Training (VT) is the anglophone branch for vocational training of the RÉCIT: a Quebec wide network of over 325 consultants, entirely financed by the Ministère de l’éducation, focused on the development of student's skills through the integration of technologies in education.
The name is an anagram of the French words réseau, éducation, collaboration, innovation, and technologie.
RÉCIT consultant services are always free.
History
The origin of the RÉCIT dates back as far as 1988, with the creation of the Centres d’enrichissement en micro-informatique (CEMIS) that transformed into the RÉCIT 2 years later. The network significantly grew with the launching of the Digital Action Plan in 2018, of the Digital Competency Framework in 2019, and the increased use of digital tools during the COVID 19 pandemic. Today, the RÉCIT is composed of more than 325 consultants supporting educators, everywhere in Quebec, through local, regional and national services. Since 2022, approximately 20 of those consultants serve the vocational training sector, in English and in French.
RÉCIT consultant services are always free.
