What to expectCollege representatives will set up tables and provide brochures, college applications, and other informational resources. They also talk with students, answer questions, and collect contact information.
How to prepareWhen attending a college fair, you can bring a shopping bag to collect brochures and admission materials. You can also make a list of the schools you are most interested in and ask questions about them.

Reading High School partners with the Berks County Credit Unions to host a Financial Reality Fair. At the Reality Fair, students receive budget sheets that include their salary, credit score, and balances for both checking and savings accounts. These figures are tailored based on the type of degree the student selects.
During the fair, students must visit various booths representing essential expenses such as housing, transportation, food, clothing, and internet services. Additionally, they have the option to consider extra costs like a gym membership or salon visits.Each student also participates in the "Wheel of Reality," where they may face unexpected expenses, such as paying a surprise bill, or receive unexpected income, like a gift from a relative.
After visiting all the booths and spinning the Wheel of Reality, students will calculate their total monthly spending. If their expenses exceed their budget, they will need to return to the booths to make more informed choices or consider finding a part-time job to balance their finances.
