SPRING SEMESTER (not running this year)
To be successful in this course, students should have met proficiency in Chemistry or AP Chemistry. This course will explore numerous real-world applications of chemistry concepts. Units of study will include: kitchen and food chemistry, personal care products, cleaning products, water quality, batteries, dyes, and explosives, pharmaceutical drugs, photography, and “magic” tricks. This will be a very hands-on course with lab activities embedded into class time (no additional lab period).
