How do these gases cause the temperature on Earth to warm up?
Assignments and Due Dates:
Diagram some of the gasses that cause global warming. Diagram how this ""greenhouse effect" is good, and how it causes problems if there are too many greenhouses gases in the atmosphere. Be sure that diagrams of these molecules are included in the notes that you will post in SeeSaw on Friday:

methane: CH4
water vapor: H2O
trichlorofluoromethane: CCl3F
hydrochloroflurocarbon: HCF3
nitrous oxide: NO3
Note that CH4, CCl3F, and HCF3 are all formed in a similar way. There is a single carbon atom in the middle of the molecule, and 4 other atoms bonded to it, all equally spaced around the central carbon.

Humans can change the environment through trash-pollution and gas-pollution. What is the difference between these two types of pollution?

Include arrows to show the "fast cycle" of carbon moving from the trees and soil into the atmosphere and back again into the trees and soil.
Show the "slow cycle" of carbon moving from deep in the earth into the atmosphere and then back again to the earth.
Also include cars, people, animals, plants, trees and factories in your diagram. Include arrows to show how the carbon is moving.
Label these carbon pools: the ocean, the atmosphere, forests and permafrost, and fossil fuels.

Watch the video about the Menstrual Cycle. Diagram the menstrual cycle: What happens each week of the cycle?
Week 1: the lining of the uterus sheds, blood drips out of the vagina. Women can take care of their periods with pads, tampons or a menstrual cup.
Week 2: hormones make a new egg get ready and a new lining to grow in the uterus
Week 3: the egg is released. The egg lives for one day.
Week 4: Hormones detect if the egg was fertilized or not. If not, the body gets ready to shed the lining of the uterus again.
Watch the video about human pregnancy. What does the baby need in order to grow? (placenta, umbilical cord, amniotic sac, amniotic fluid)
Watch the video about chickens hatching: How are chicks in an egg similar to human babies? How are they different?
