To celebrate Easter, students made a story wheel of the Passion of the Christ. They then shared the story with a partner. Students were eager to take these wheels home and share with their families.
Kindergarteners read the book The Rabbit Garden, by Georgia Tufts. They then began designing their own gardens. In future weeks, they will design and build a system to keep a rabbit out of their mini gardens.
Kindergartners used Scratch Jr. to code a Christmas Tree with blinking lights.
Kindergarteners made parade floats using cardboard boxes, recycled veggie pouch lids for wheels, and straws for axles. They got to chose their favorite character from the Macy's Day Parade to add to their float. When they were completed, they formed a parade and walked through the halls to show their creations.
Kindergarteners read the book, Strictly No Elephants, by Lisa Mantchev. We talked about the importance of believing the best in others and giving everyone and opportunity to play. They then created clubhouses with cups and popsicle sticks that all animals and kids would be welcomed in. They then played with plastic animals in their clubhouses.
