Fourth graders were assigned a US state to research. They learned key characteristics about each state and then designed the states on Tinkercad.
Fourth grade students finished their poetry unit by writing their own poems inspired by William Carlos Williams. Students chose a topic, and then wrote their poems in a similar way to the famous poet. After creating their poems, they used their 3D design skills to make models of the topic of their poems in Tinkercad. They also used graphic design skills and author's choice when formatting their poems and the background for the poems. Students celebrated by having a publishing party with donuts.
Fourth Grade students have been learning all about the poetry of William Carlos Williams during a project based learning unit. They are studying his poems and are trying to write poems of their own. During their lessons, they use Building Thinking Classroom strategies to process their thoughts in random groups. At the end of the unit, students will design 3D images of the topic of their poems on Tinkercad, with a line of their poetry beside it. Their designs will then be 3D printed.
Snap Circuits
Fourth Grade learned how circuits work on Tinkercad and then built their own with Snap Circuits. Snap Circuits allow the students to see how a battery can power a motor for a fan or light bulbs. Students had lots of fun designing their own circuit projects!
