“Reading skills serve as a foundation for writing”

Reading helps learners get information about events, places and other people. It enriches vocabulary; learners are able to learn new words or new terminology; improve grammar and spellings and from that learners learn writing skills. To develop these skills, the learners of grade 2 engaged in various activities.

Learners read the story “The three little pigs” they used the book to identify past tense verbs that were used by the author and wrote down the present tense matches in their notebook.

Learners observed the image carefully and wrote down what is happening in the image using simple past tense.
