ADMINISTRATIVE UPDATE
Dear Raymond Families:
I wanted to take a chance to update you on some recent staff news.
New Teacher
We are very pleased to welcome Mrs. Glasheen to our Raymond family. Mrs. Glasheen will be joining us starting on Monday. She brings with her over 25 years of educational experiences including classroom teaching experience with a wealth of other educational assignments over her career. Mrs. Glasheen is certified as an English, Spanish and Japanese teacher.
She will teach the 7th grade ELA block which is currently assigned to Mrs. Brockman. Mrs. Glasheen will also teach in our Special Education Department.
Lead Teacher
Mrs. Brockman will continue to serve as the Lead Teacher. In addition to teaching 6th grade ELA and working with Mrs. Glasheen, Mrs. Brockman will handle discipline referrals, contacts with parents, and daily routine items. She has done a great job since assuming her role. We thank her for accepting this leadership role.
Interim Principal
We are also pleased to welcome Mr. Kempen to our team. Mr. Kempen has accepted the Interim Principal position and will begin his duties on December 1st. Until then, you may see him around the school building doing a few pre-employment visits. In fact, Mr. Kempen stopped by last week while the Breakfast Club was preparing the senior breakfast.
Mr. Kempen has served in several school administrative roles, in other Districts, including School Business Manager, Principal and Associate Principal in addition to being a Math and Spanish teacher. We welcome his experience in school leadership and instruction.
