Students love Piano Beginnings because they are learning piano in a fun environment with their peers! They learn one new song a week and are asked to practice 5-10 minutes a day.
Children ages 4-8 are the perfect age to start Piano Beginnings. It is a 3-year program, so students ages 4-10 can enjoy the benefits.
Students learn how to play the piano. We have so much fun and students start playing songs with correct fingering on the very first day!
Other skills and concepts taught include: singing, technique, composition, theory, self-accompaniment, playing together in a group, and classical music enjoyment.
There are three levels of Piano Beginnings. Students play keyboards AND bells in all three levels, starting on the first day. Students are grouped by age and skills.
Melody: Learning to play the right hand with correct fingering
Harmony: Learning to play hands separately, starting to play hands together
Improvisation: Playing hands together and reading notes.
There are three levels of Piano Beginnings AND there are three years of Piano Beginnings: red, yellow, and blue. In any given year, all students are learning songs from the same books, at different levels of difficulty. This is super fun for siblings, great for teachers, and wonderful for students who choose to spend more than one year at any given level. Each year, EVERYONE moves on to a new color with new books and songs.
• Classes are 55 minutes each week for only $50/month!
• There is an annual $50 registration fee that covers the cost of all books and materials.
Jennie Sanders: Raya understands both children and music extremely well, and I’ve seen her successfully guide my three very different children successfully in learning to play the piano and understand the basic structures of music. I highly recommend her classes!
