Raya Grace Music Preschool is Academic Preschool Plus Piano!

What is Raya Grace Preschool?

• Your child will learn ALL of the academic basics to get ready for kindergarten, have a ton of fun, AND learn how to play the piano!

• We have daily one-on-one reading instruction, as well as daily language arts, math, dramatic play (social skills and language), art, science, and outdoor recess!

• We introduce our students to different healthy foods each day during snack time!

• We believe learning should be fun, hands-on, and engaging!

This curriculum was created by Raya Leavitt Blackburn, who wrote the Sound Beginnings curriculum for a company called Let's Play Music, has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Music Education, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Early Childhood Education, an administrative license, and 20 years of teaching experience. Our preschool is taught by Cheri Henricksen who is an outstanding and experienced early childhood educator who has been teaching here since 2016!

We love our small class sizes with only 10 students per class!

2026-2027 Schedule

2-day Mornings 9:00-11:30 MW

for children who are 3 years old on or before September 1, 2026

2-day Mornings 9:00-11:30 TTh

for children who are 4 years old on or before December 31, 2026

4-day Afternoons 12:30-3:00 MTWTh

for children who are 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026

Music Preschool begins the day after Labor Day and follows the Provo School District calendar.

Our Philosophy

We believe in the power of music to teach academic skills.
We believe that learning to sing and play the piano are important life skills.
We believe that 4 is the perfect age to start playing the piano.
We believe that very young children can learn to read.
We believe in having daily one-on-one reading time with each student.
We believe in hands-on learning through daily play and outdoor recess.
We believe in having healthy snacks including lots of fruits and vegetables.
We believe parents appreciate that we send most papers home at the end of the year, neatly filed in a keepsake folder or binder.
We believe that learning (at any age) should be fun!

2026-2027 Tuition and Fees

• All materials, including the Music Preschool Handwriting book, Weekly Reading Books, daily snacks, two recitals, and some fun surprises, are included in the one-time registration fee of $150. Save $25 if you register in January!

• 2-day tuition is $150/month.

• 4-day tuition is $300/month.

A full 9-month commitment is expected, September-May. (If you are unable to make the full year commitment, please notify Raya when registering.)
