Summer Opportunities
Summer programs can give students the opportunity to:
- Live on/Explore college campuses
- Explore an area of interest
- Potentially earn scholarships!
You might even get some college credit, too (this credit may or may not be transferrable to the college you attend after high school, if different). There can be many other benefits to these programs, as well! Note that some programs have costs.
Note that some programs don't actually have an application process (this website talks about that a little more: https://blog.prepscholar.com/pre-college-summer-programs-for-high-school-students)
Some schools (including some of the ones below) also allow high schoolers to take college classes during the summer, not as part of a larger program.
You can also see a list of universities around the country that may offer a summer program (this may not be a complete list of universities with programs): https://blog.prepscholar.com/pre-college-summer-programs-for-high-school-students
Check back on this website for any potential updates or if more programs are posted.
There are also local opportunities for students over the summer that are included below as well.
