Agriculture is the production and cultivation of nutrients, meats, dairy products, etc. which end up producing roughly 21% of the global greenhouse gas emissions! (n.d.)
This image represents a solution to the methane produced by cows. These bags are attached to the cows stomach and absorbs the methane produced by cows. Agriculture emits at least 231 million pounds of methane per year due to cows burps and farts! (n.d.) Feeding cows red seaweed reduce these emissions by about 40%! (n.d.)

In 1797, the first cast-iron plow was created by Charles Newbold making soil cultivation much easier. Many other machines were then created expanding upon the cast-iron plow such as the McCormick reaper patented in 1834. (n.d.) In 1862, the Department of Agriculture was established to create and enforce laws involving agriculture. 30 years later, the tractor was invented which made it so farmers didn't have to carry all of their equipment around. In the start of the most recent agricultural revolution, farmers developed a 4 crop rotation system. They would rotate between wheat, turnips, barley, and clovers to improve the fertility of the soil and reduce fallow land. In 1980, biotechnology was introduced to farming. Farming materials created using biotechnology are said to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. (n.d.)
How Does Agriculture Impact Wildlife and Human Health?
"Most farmers use pesticides which result in water pollution which don't only harm the ecosystem and wildlife in the area but can also harm humans. Sometimes these pesticides can make it into our drinking water." - (2023, September 22) . Not only does it harm our water it harms our lungs when we breath in these chemicals.
