"Jobs related to agriculture in the world was reported at 26.37% in 2022."(n.d.). In addition, between 2012 and 2020, agricultural degree graduates who wanted to pursue a career in agriculture had an employment rate of 100%. (n.d.) Most people think of agriculture as just farming yet there are many other occupations involved. (n.d.) These include horticulture, engineers, and many more. (n.d.)

Many manufacturers use raw materials from agriculture to create products. (n.d.). For example, lumber is used for construction, plant products are used in adhesives and paints, corn is a base for ethanol, and cotton is used to make clothing. Without agriculture many products would not exist.
"In 2022, agriculture and food related industries bestowed roughly $1.420 trillion to the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP). The U.S. GDP is the value of the final goods and services produced in the U.S." (n.d.). Agriculture affects the overall US GPD directly and indirectly. This basically means that the more food that agriculture sells the more it affects our GDP. So agriculture affects our economy positively.
