The NWRA is a non-profit organization that works toward reducing water waste in the world. You can donate money to the NRWA website to give money towards buying new computers and books for the scientists research.
The American Farmland Trust organization was founded to save American's farms and ranches. You can donate money to the American Farmland Trust organization to pay for tools and supplies for farmers.
Farm Share is an organization that focuses on feeding the hungry. There are places in the world were there is little to no agriculture and people are in starvation. This non- profit has you donate money towards giving food to these places.
The Farm Link project focuses on the amount of food waste in the world. This organization asks you to donate food for the people in need. Their goal is to stop starvation and help the hungry.
Another solution farmers are trying to use to reduce water usage is limiting runoff. There are many ways to reduce runoff. (2023, December 20). epa.gov. You can plant cover crops to use the extra nutrients, but in order for this to work the soil would need to be left undisturbed from harvest to planting. The reason we want to reduce runoff is because runoff is just wasted water we never used. The EPA estimates that around 10 trillion gallons of untreated water from storms enter U.S. waterways per year (n.d).
