Licensed clinical social worker offering in-person therapy in Asheville, NC and online in DC, VA, and CO. Specializing in ADHD, anxiety, and disordered eating patterns with a practical, supportive approach.
We don’t have to wait until Monday to “start over.”
When anxiety, ADHD, or eating patterns feel overwhelming, starting therapy can feel like a lot, especially when you’ve been trying to manage things on your own. You might feel stuck in shame/self criticism cycles that repeat despite your efforts.
How therapy works with me and what sessions may be like:
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, supportive, and practical.
Therapy is paced in a way that feels grounded and sustainable, rather than overwhelming or prescriptive.
Sessions often feel like a balance of reflection and clarity, along with identifying what feels helpful next. We may slow things down to better understand what you’re experiencing internally, or identify small, realistic shifts that help things feel more manageable outside of session.
Over time, the goal is not just symptom management, but a greater sense of steadiness, awareness, and self-trust in how you respond to your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and a Health at Every Size-informed approach. Learn more about the concerns I commonly help clients navigate.
I have over 10 years of clinical experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, alcohol-related issues, and emotional overwhelm.
