I worked to figure out what foods and nutrients properly fuel the body so athletes can reach their top athletic potential. After completing weeks of research on macronutrients and which are the most beneficial to one’s body, I surveyed a variety of athletes on their snack preferences. The survey provided me with information on what kind of exercise they are participating in, flavors they enjoy and if they consume a snack pre and/or post workout. I utilized this data to find and create recipes that would best fit the needs of athletes. Through trial and error in the kitchen I made many different batches of recipes, using the feedback from my peers (athletes) to improve each one. I was able to come up with three final batches that tasted delicious and were packed with healthy ingredients and nutrients.

We researched the functionality of alumni associations at the collegiate and high school level and applied this knowledge to create an outline for the Ramsey High School Alumni Association. From there, we established multiple goals, including: creating a framework for the Ramsey High School Hall of Fame, accessing a database of alumni contact information, and making a video that highlights the culture of Ramsey High School. Overall, we were able to meet our objectives and work as a unit to create multiple products.

After seeing how bystander interventions can lead to drastic improvements in the patient’s outcome. I wanted to help the school district prepare for the worst. After the horrific events at Sandy Hook we began to see that trauma was the leading preventable cause of death in the US, which lead to industry leaders and government agencies establishing the Stop the Bleed Program.
Stop the Bleed is a program which covers bleeding control techniques to prevent a death after major trauma. This program has saved countless lives since its start. I proposed that the district acquire not only bleeding control supplies, but also training materials that will allow the district to train staff for years to come. In taking this action, we are keeping our students safe and our district prepared for the worst.

I am working specifically for the art show and the display. I titled this year’s show of mine BRAINDUMP, trying to embody the freedom of dadaist spirit in cases such as readymade. The word itself suggests that this show is what is in my brain, but unfiltered. I try things that I wanted to try and I do art that makes me satisfied. It doesn’t serve a purpose anything other than being my art unless I assign it a value, and it does not matter what others feel unless I want it to make others feel. Personally, senior year art show is something that I’ve been looking forward since I was a freshmen and I want this project to really represent the excitement and growth throughout the 4 years

For my project I was inspired by one of the homeworks we did last year in Mr. Levinson’s class. The prompt was to take a given image and continue the scene using different values of coffee. I really liked the way my painting came out, so when it came time to decide on a profile project I immediately thought of this concept. I began brainstorming other mediums I could use for the project. The mediums I chose included denim, nail polish, and fruit. It was interesting to explore how these different mediums could be used to create art.

My project is a bench that contains finishing techniques that isn’t used often today. I had a short period of time to complete this bench but I did everything I could to finish it right. I was supposed to incorporate our new CNC machine but my time was getting shorter and shorter. So I had to focus on the bench instead.

For my profile project I am creating an Instagram to display all of my artwork. I wanted to make my portfolio digital and have it all in one place so that it is easily accessible. Also, by putting all of my artwork together it will be much easier to show others my work. I will be able to have access to the Instagram account for forever and will not lose my artwork, since it will be digital. Finally, under each artwork on the Instagram I will write a brief description and list the materials I utilized to create it.

My project was a tangible compilation of Ramsey Family Recipes. The cookbook contains recipes from over 75 Ramsey Families. The finished project is being sold to the public. All proceeds earned from the revenue of the book will be donated to the charity “Feeding America”. This project was a great way for me to pursue my passion of culinary arts, while also letting me raise money for a deserving charity.

In my profile project I am testing the different types of water like grocery store water compared to name branded/ more expensive water. I am trying to find the difference in the quality of the water to see if there is any true reasons why people should spend money on more expensive water compared to grocery store/ cheap water. In this project this will help people in the future either save money on water or spend money on water for better quality water like Poland Spring, Voss, Fiji etc. I will use water tester kits to test the different types of quality and record the results.

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being (essential oil therapy). The therapy enhances a person’s health of the body, mind and spirit. There is a wide range of benefits that aromatherapy can help treat such as healing power of the body physically and emotionally, relaxation, mood, positive emotional health, pain and inflammation reduction. My work has shown that using essential oils over an extended period of time can help reduce stress, and overall dramatically change how a person behaves. Essential oils come in a multitude of scents and ultimately have positive result after use.

The goal of my project is to identify if there is a difference with kids that play different roles in the birth order. I picked one kid from each birth order role and observed them for the duration of the preschool year. I observed their behaviors and asked them a few questions throughout the year to learn more about their personality. I analyzed the data and came up with clear results.

Throughout the course of this semester, I learned a lot about Animal Therapy and what the different types are. I was able to narrow down the type of therapy I was most interested in and began brainstorming multiple ways I could exemplify the therapy. I chose to show my research and passion with a Therapy Dog Day. This day will include dogs coming to the school during the first week of APs, and having them interact with the students to help alleviate some of their stress from the tests.

In my work I will look through important baseball statistics that can indicate a players performance either above or below average. This includes, for hitters, average, RBI’s, homeruns, and slugging percentage. The pitcher statistics that I am analyzing are ERA, Wins vs. losses, FIP, and k/9. Based on the these statistics I hope to find a leading cause that performance tends to decrease after a new contract. What I have learned from this project is that players performance during a contract year tends to be better than the next year.

The purpose of my observational study is to compare the checkout speed of self checkouts vs. cashier checkouts. My goal is to see if self checkouts are really faster as compared to cashier controlled checkouts for similar size shopping loads. I will conduct a statistical analysis to compare the check out rates and determine the efficiency of both checkout types. I grew as a stats student because I was able to take what I learned in class from Mr. Frangione and apply it to a real life math equation and find out the statistics between self checkout machines and regular cash registers.

My project was an analysis of the 2018 RHS Boys Varsity Soccer season statistics. My project consisted of 2 major parts. The first part included individual and team statistics. Each player on the team with significant stats got a PowerPoint which outlined their season successes. I also created a team PowerPoint which took the cumulative team stats and displayed them in a visually appealing way. The second phase of my project included an analysis of the season's goal scoring patterns. The analysis defined for the team which plays and strategies were the most successful in generating goals.

My work is based on the statistics on the offensive and defensive side of the ball on the football field, more specifically the Superbowl. The Super Bowl is one of the most watched events in the United States. I want to find out whether it's the offensive side takes care of business, or if its the defense that really wins the championship. I will collect the statistics of the past teams that have played in the Superbowl, analyze and compare them to the opposing team they play to see which side of the ball will win more championships.

The statistical study I chose to research for my profile project was exercise patterns through different genders and age groups. To understand the topic and gather as much information as possible I sent out surveys and recorded data I found from reputable sites. My goal going into this project was to determine the specific age group and gender exercise patterns. In result, this will give me a greater understanding as to why obesity rates in the United States are so high.

The purpose of this observational study would be to explore the death rates between prescribed and non prescribed drugs. As deaths from drugs increase we tend to forget that many of these deaths are attributed to prescription drugs. My goal is to see if there are more deaths from prescribed and non prescribed drugs. Additionally, I will do a statistical analysis to see how much of a difference there is between the two rates.

A question that is commonly asked in the Call of Duty community is why were certain games more successful in sales than others. After playing years of the Call of Duty games I have a handful of games that I prefer to play over others. Other Call of Duty players can identify with this statement. The importance in knowing why it can benefit the video games developers in a very positive way is by figuring out what the people want in a game. As you can see from the diagram, the series has become extremely successful with its profits.
