Transcript Requests

End-of-Year Junior Transcripts and Senior Transcripts

A. The end-of-11th-grade transcript is accurate at the end of 11th grade, but if class size changes before senior year, so will class rank. GPA will remain unchanged unless failed classes are taken in summer school, etc.

B. When applying to colleges, the transcript, the student’s schedule of 12th grade classes, and (at the college’s request) a current grade report are used in the application process.

C. Regarding our transcripts: SAT and ACT scores are not reported on the transcript and must be sent from the College Board or ACT account (some schools will accept these from the school counselor, but you will need to check college-specific websites. If it calls for “official” score reports, those must come from the College Board). This reason test scores are not included on the transcript is due to the number of schools that have announced they are “test optional” or “test flexible.” A list can be found here. Please be sure to do your own research beyond this list as some schools only exempt students who meet minimum grade-point average or class rank criteria; others require SAT or ACT scores but use them only for placement purposes, and others still require scores for specific programs/majors. Please check with the school's admissions office for details!

      1. Students who test with a fee-waiver have unlimited score-sends to colleges. Do this though your College Board account.
      2. For students who did not test with a fee waiver, but for whom sending scores from the College Board would create a financial burden, please see Mrs. Behrens O’Brien. (This does not apply to schools who will only accept scores directly from the College Board.)

D. Directions for requesting transcripts:

1. Log into Naviance Student.

2. Navigate to Colleges > Apply to College > Manage Transcripts.

3. Click the Add (Pink Plus).

4. Select either College Application Transcript or Other Transcript.

5. Follow the steps depending on which type of transcript you select. For your fall college applications, you will choose ‘initial transcript.’ If your colleges require a ‘midyear’ transcript, that is sent mid-January. ‘Final transcripts’ are sent to your attending college the week after graduation.

Also, remember that when you add a college to your Colleges I'm Applying to List, you have an option to request transcripts at that time.

ALTERNATIVE: Transcript Requests can also be made from the Colleges I'm Applying to List by selecting the checkbox next to a college and clicking Request Transcripts.

Students in 9th - 11th grade can make transcript requests by sending an email to Mrs. Behrens O'Brien tracey.behrens@rak12.org. Requests can take up to two weeks to be processed. In your email, please state the reason for the request, the name of the person to whom your transcript should be sent, and his/her email or mailing address.
