Sentrilock users (whether RAGBOS or other Sentrilock using agent) will access ELBs via the SentriKEY Real Estate App.
Press ENT on the lockbox to wake it up and activate the Bluetooth, enter PIN (or use fingerprint or facial recognition) and lockbox will open
Listing agents will receive a notification anytime their lockbox has been opened
History of accesses can be viewed in the app or via the Sentrilock.com website
If you plan to be trading out of RAGBOS jurisdiction electronic lockboxes would not be mandatory, however, if you use a lockbox it cannot be mechanical and must be a Sentrilock electronic lockbox. The rules and regs state “where a property has elected to use a lockbox, it must be a Sentrilock electronic lockbox”. Mechanical lockboxes are never permitted on RAGBOS MLS® listings.
RAGBOS ELBs use Bluetooth technology. You do not require cell service to access a lockbox but it is important to open the SentriKEY app. each morning in WI-FI or cellular range as it connects with the Sentrilock servers to validate your credentials (confirms you are a RAGBOS member in good standing).
If this step is not done and you get to a property where there is no cell coverage, the app. will not work because it does not know if it should allow you to open lockboxes. When you have opened the app. prior to heading out and show a property with no cell coverage, the Bluetooth technology will work to open the lockbox. Sounds confusing? Yes. Via the SentriKEY Real Estate App at the time of putting the lockbox on the property.
Once the shackle has been released, it will ask if you want to assign the lockbox to a listing. Follow prompts.
Via Matrix when entering the listing (at the end of the process)
OR via the Sentrilock.com website after the listing has been entered into the Matrix MLS®.
Search the Serial Number under the Lockbox tab and click to assign it to the list of your brokerage listings
Your 4-Digit PIN is what opens lockboxes, releases shackles, performs specific commands within the SentriKEY Real Estate App. However, the ability to set-up facial recognition or fingerprint technlogy in lieu of entering your PIN each time is available (if your device/operating system allows of course)
