Enrichment for Gifted Students
In Ignite, we learn about ourselves, work together, and push our academic comfort zones!
Ignite students participate in various tasks that focus on executive functions, critical thinking, problem-solving, research, social-emotional goals, STEM tasks, and interest-based inquiry. This learning model is a collaborative effort to extend, encourage, and enrich our students in a supportive and adaptive environment.
Ignite Learning Targets
Verbal Communication Skills: Students contribute to class discussions and confidently share ideas in small groups.
Written Communication Skills: Students clearly communicate in writing.
Critical Thinking Skills: Students generate insights and ideas using logical reasoning.
Creative Thinking Skills: Students produce a variety of unique ideas or solutions to given prompts or problems.
Curiosity/Inquiry Skills: Students ask relevant questions, conduct research, and demonstrate a love for learning.
Collaboration Skills: Students listen and show appreciation for others' ideas, working cooperatively in small and large groups.
Independent Study Skills: Students use time well, follow directions, and produce quality work.
